We had another visit from our church-dog, Aida, recently. Although we no longer formally support Dogs for Good as our chosen church charity - we swap the official charities every two years -, we still love to stay in contact, so Alan and Chris still bring their dogs into see us. Aida's training is progressing well, and has reached the stage that she is learning to deal with taking people in and out of lifts. This has proved a bit of a challenge for her, but with Alan and Chris's guidance and support, she's becoming more confident, and will no doubt soon conquer her fears and will soon move on to the next stage of her training.
Aida is now 11 months old, so will probably stay with Alan and Chris for another couple of months before the time comes from us, and them, to say a fond good-bye, but in the knowledge that she will be looking forward to a life-time of helping others. The Bible says that we humans are God's hands and eyes - it's wonderful that He knows how to make use of paws and doggy a wet nose as well.
